The ALPEN ring, dedicated to the wonderful mountain range in the heart of Europe, is a testament to our passion for high mountains. Our two bosses – Heike and Markus Schmidt – not only wanted to express this passion in jewellery but also in real life and so they set out to cross the Alps come rain or shine. The tour started in Kitzbühel and ended in South Tyrol. Over 100 kilometres and 5,000 metres of altitude lay between them. The absolute highlight? The Hohe Tauern National Park with perfect views of the mountains Großvenediger and Großglockner.
