OUR DREAM
Our greatest journey began in 1994 when we made our dream of our own jewellery brand come true. We combined the words SCHMUCKstück (piece of jewellery) and KunstWERK (work of art) to create the brand name SCHMUCKWERK. However, WERK (site) also refers to a magical place – our manufactory in a historic paper mill in the beautiful Angertal valley in Ratingen. This is where we work together with our team and create unique jewellery designs.

OUR TEAM
At SCHMUCKWERK, 30 goldsmiths, jewellers, designers, marketing experts, accountants and sales representatives work together to bring new and unique jewellery designs to life. With great attention to detail, creativity and the best craftsmanship, they create jewellery of the highest quality. All gold and platinum collections are made in Ratingen. The Ratingen jewellery family is supported by a team in Cape Town that pre-produces the stainless steel collections. If the capacities in Ratingen are not sufficient to meet all customer requests, external designers, goldsmiths and jewellers help out.
